Lady Diamond, on one of her many trips to Candlekeep, stops near Arylon to help a party of adventurers in the Fields of the Dead. After assisting them, she spies a lone figure walking through the fields. Seeing the aura of Mystra surrounding him, she approaches.
"My friend and colleague, I wish none to be harmed by the magic Mystra allows us to wield. Please, teach all who use magic this spell. If it saves just one life, then it is well worth your trouble." Lady Diamond then bows and hands the tome and scroll to Jadawin, Dweomerkeeper of Mystra and Councilor of Arylon.
The scroll is a copy of the spell. The tome is her research on the creation
of the spell. The tome reads like a prayer book, but has formulas included.
This spell is similar to the fourth level spell: Minor Globe of Invulnerability. This spell makes anyone the caster touches during the casting, immune to all spells 1st through 3rd level. This protection is granted against spells of the caster only. (Spells from other casters worked normally.) The protection moves with the recipient.
The material components for this spell is a piece of cloth blessed by a
cleric of Mystra, and a strand of hair from all that are to be protected. All
are consumed in the casting.
History:
This spell was created by Lady Diamond in her younger years. Lady Diamond
needed to protect members of her party from spells she used in offense. She
would sometimes hit party members with her fireballs and/or lightning bolts, especially at night or in close quarters.
